I just need to say one more time how annoyed I am with the US for conditioning us to use the imperial measurement system. Sure, we use mL and grams in chem lab, but that's about as relative to our real lives as cubits and handspans. In real life, everything is in ounces, pounds, feet, yards, and Fahrenheit.
I have no idea of 18 degrees Celcius is a nice day or not. Still. And I've been here for a year. Your 8 8oz glasses of water a day? How many liters is that? Thank god for Google. They have this kick ass "convert - to" function. Ie: "convert 64 oz to liters" (it's 1.89 L by the way).
Didn't congress pass the metric conversion act in the 70s? What happened, America? Like we're not isolated from the rest of the world enough. We need to get with the decimal program.
I resolve to start taking note of the temperature in Celcius. Maybe I will find a chart on the interwebs.
dammit, try using a metric PADI dive table when all you know is feet. our asses are going to get the bends and it's all the imperial system's fault!!
