On Monday I used the NHS. I went to the A&E and sat around for 3 hours, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with me. And I guess they were right. I'm fine.
Yesterday S&T used me as their Hawaiian massage model. This is not a massage you do on someone from Hawaii, but rather a type of massage that is from Hawaii. I have never had one of these before. I've heard of lomilomi before but I didn't realise that it was actually something you could get. Basically it involves two masseusses (masseui?) using their arms to massage you.
The studio is situated in the Vietnamese block of London so we went to a highly recommended eatery called Green Papaya. It was not at all what I'm used to calling Vietnamese food. First of all, they didn't have Vietnamese iced coffee. WTH? How can you open a place of business billing itself as a Vietnamese restaurant and not have Vietnamese iced coffee? Secondly, I didn't see a drop of fish sauce on the menu or on anyone's table. How can you serve a whole menu of Vietnamese food without mentioning fish sauce? Lastly, they didn't have what is the whole point of Vietnamese food for me, which is egg rolls in vermicelli covered in (naturally) fish sauce. And no Vietnamese sandwiches.
The good/naive people of London are being duped in a big way.
