On Wednesday I went to see the new Bond movie - Quantum of Solace. On Thursday I watched my latest LoveFilm offering - Madagascar. I am sad to report that Madagascar was far more enjoyable.
The Bond movie was all action and no story. Even the bad guy was lame - his diabolical plan was to fool the government out of a bunch of low-value desert land so he could build eco-parks. Mwahahaha!! No world domination, no genius virus to swindle the world out of billions, not even an evil pet cat. Some of the action scenes were so drawn out and ridiculous to the point of fakey looking.
Madagascar on the other hand, was not the best animated movie to ever come out, but it had plotting penguins, eloquent monkeys, and Chris Rock! It was enjoyable and engaging from start to end.
