Cup Noodle Soup

So I've decided to reintroduce packaged ramen into my life. Fresh is good too but a little more effort to find. All in good time.
While perusing the selection at my Walgreens, I was surprised to learn that cup o' ramens now come in plastic and paper cup options in addition to the styrofoam ones! The plastic bowls are made of #6 plastic, which the city takes for recycling. Paper cups are of course, compostable.
My choice for Nong Shim Cup Noodle Soup was "Seafood". It was this or the "Chicken" but the seafood ingredients included cuttlefish, soy protein (known in this article as "mock dolphin"), tiny shrimps, and mushrooms! It was a much more exciting roll, than the chicken's.

Added maybe 40% of the flavor packet (nutritional facts say this package provides 52% of your RDA of sodium) and boiling water. 3 minutes later I got this:

The pic got crappy when I uploaded to Blogger but you can kind of make out the orangey colored shrimp, green onions, and pinkish "meat" looking things. I believe these are the hydrolyzed protein mock dolphin pieces. Or maybe cuttlefish. Maybe those are the yellowy squares. I don't know.
Anyway, it was pretty good. It was oily, but you knew it would be. The broth could have used more flavor but it's my fault that I only added 40% of the flavor packet. It tasted mildy seafoody but not that much. I liked the little shrimps.
