Last night brought another round of cool London culture. The Roxy hosted the AV Lounge, which was a whole set of "visual music". I guess they're kind of like music videos, except the video drives the music, instead of the other way around. Like, someone would make some kind of cool CG video, and then they'd find someone or a something to accompany that. Or dj and a vj would work in tandem to create a piece. My favorites works were when clips from movies were sampled in the songs, but you could actually watch the movie repeat repeat along with the sampling. Lots could be done with this - gunfights, sedutive one-liners made by Audrey Hepburn, piano playing.
There was one very cute cartoon involving these bunnies who ride unicorn turtles. One day, these giant bear/lion things invade their city and tear shit up. Luckily, the bunnies had these pods that launched them into space. On the moon, they built these giant robot things that battled the big bear/lion things.
