Yay, going to France today! Samuel sent me an email letting me know that he has "made some planes" for us.
I met a lovely French girl yesterday. She is Graham's best friend, Vivi. She is moving to Australia next week so we went to her house. We had some wine, she cooked dinner. It was a great night.
Here is what I want to do in France: go to a Yves Rocher; visit a monolith and/or castle; go to a wine filling station; buy cheese. Beyond this, I have no idea what the French countryside has to offer me.
Thursday was the start of the East festival, where all these east-end activities happen. 28 different churches in the east end were supposed to ring their bells (in succession I hope) over a period of 2 hours. We couldn't hear them (perhaps we were in the wrong part of town but probably because we were in a pub for most of the time).
Speaking of the east end, did you know that a strong suspect for Jack the Ripper was an American named Francis Tumblety?
