Yesterday, I walked from my office all the way home.
Firstly, I went to Yerba Buena gardens after work. That morning, the California supreme court decided that Prop 8 was valid and would be upheld. There was a big gay rally that afternoon that started at the civic center and ended up at Yerba Buena. People seemed pissed, but not despondent nor violent, and were actually kind of hopeful for "next time".
There were a lot of cute boys there but they were all gay :(
Afterwards I ended up in Hayes Valley (still walking) and watched some episodes of Drawn Together. Have you seen this show? It is so inappropriate! <--- hilarious
Remember Rejected? From like, 2000? We watched that too! It's even better this time around. I cried like a little girl whose anus is bleeding.
Anyway, from Hayes Valley I walked home. No problem.
Yesterday was a reminder to me of how lucky I am to not have to deal with being gay - with your family, your government, people you want to be friends with. It's just not easy.
