Another great weekend in SF and now I don't want to go back to London tomorrow. :(
On Friday a Led Zep cover band, Bustle in Your Hedgerow, played at the Independent. I was skeptical about any cover band but Shea convinced me that they're a *tribute* band so I paid the $15 and went. For the most part, they were pretty good. There is something quite different about seeing Led Zeppelin music played loud and live. That is, until the show was over and they HAD NOT PLAYED STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. What the hell. How can you call your band "Bustle in your Hedgerow", play Zep all night, and then NOT PLAY STAIRWAY? Atrocious.
On saturday Sarah and I scootered over to GGP for a Brass Taxx party. It was a great time. I hung out with Justin and Gassie that night at their new place in the Richmond. Aw. Gassie :)
The next morning I visited my favorite $10 hair guy, went to my beloved Bargain Bank (scored some Kabballah energy drink), spent some some quality time in Goodwill (everything is so cheap in the US!), and went the the Sports Basement for an official UPA frisbee (impossible to find in London).
A band of Israeli drag queens/kings were passing through Sarah's house. They were very nice. :D
