Wow. Jebus.
Well, I'm alive and doing pretty well. I actually went in to work on Friday. Afterwards, met up with Ben, finally met his good friend Richard and had some lovely pizza.
Yesterday...what happened then? Mostly napping (after a good breakfast), then met up with Helen to see her place.
Today was busy and frustratingly busy and pretty unproductive. Last night my laptop died so it was my mission to get a plug converter. I went to Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and some crappy electronics store; no one had one for US plugs. Sure, everyone has them for the Europeans, but no one wants to carry the American ones. Finally, I found a guy in a Chapel Market stall who sold them.
I don't have a GBP/lb key. You know, that curly, crossed out L. What am I supposed to do? Cut and paste from the net everytime I need it?
Also, there is the matter of a mobile phone. Currently, I am borrowing Ben's spare pay as you go phone. However, Orange asks for 35p/min to call another mobile! That's ridiculous! Also, the morons at T Mobile told me I could use my phone here, but actually, it needs to be unlocked, even to use the T Mobile service here. Plus I need a UK charger. Blah.
